Land Acknowledgement

El Shama Consulting Inc. acknowledges that we live, work, and serve on Treaty 6 territory, the traditional lands of many First Nations, including the Cree, Dene, Blackfoot, Saulteaux, Nakota Sioux, and Inuit, and it is also the Métis homeland.

We recognize and honor the deep histories, cultures, and contributions of the Indigenous Peoples who have cared for these lands long before colonization. This acknowledgement is more than a formality, it is a living act of respect, learning, and reconciliation.

As a Black-led, faith-informed, and community-centered organization, we are committed to building a future where we all live, work, raise families, and worship together in equity and mutual respect. We honor the past not to be held back by it, but to learn from it, grow with it, and move forward with humility and hope.

Together, we are part of a beautiful and diverse mosaic, not defined by our differences, but strengthened by them.

About Us

El Shama Consulting Inc. is a faith-informed, trauma-aware, and culturally grounded consulting agency based in Edmonton, Alberta, with services offered across Canada.

Founded in 2020, we began as a grassroots initiative to create safe, empowering spaces for children and youth of all backgrounds, especially those from Black, newcomer, and faith-based communities. What started as a local effort has evolved into a national organization offering wraparound support, coaching, therapeutic services, and corporate consulting , all rooted in Christian values and a commitment to holistic well-being.We provide individualized coaching, mental health and wellness support, inter-jurisdictional case management, and EDI consulting, reaching youth, families, and organizations across multiple sectors.

Our programs address both personal and systemic challenges,  including the often-taboo topics of mental health within churches and cultural stigma around emotional wellness.

As the first of its kind to be Black-focused, Christian-grounded, and virtually accessible across time zones, El Shama is committed to helping every client leave feeling empowered, motivated, and seen.Whether you’re a young person navigating life’s transitions, a family in need of support, or a workplace seeking deeper inclusion and well-being, El Shama walks alongside you,  every step of the way.
